Babysitterdirectory.com.au launch a unique
facility allowing working parents to directly contact short notice and
casual babysitters and nannies
This week Babysitterdirectory.com.au launched a one of a kind facility which now allows parents to identify and directly contact babysitters and nannies across Australia interested in emergency or short notice (less than 48 hours) and casual positions.
“ Over the last few months we had several parents tell us that sometimes their usual babysitter or nanny is not available and they would like to be able to contact a short notice or casual babysitter or nanny. They wanted to know if there existed a facility on the site where they could search and contact babysitters and nannies available for these positions,” says Ann Nolan, founder and CEO of Babysitterdirectory.com.au.
We didn't have a facility on Babysitterdirectory to provide this level of information and noticed that there did not appear to be a similar facility in Australia online, but the idea inspired us and hence the ability now for babysitters and nannies to indicate when registering if they are interested in short notice and casual positions.”
Likewise parents can now sign up to receive Babysitter Alerts, alerting them as soon as a suitable caregiver interested in casual or short notice positions, posts their profile on Babysitterdirectory.com.au.
Ms. Nolan says she is excited by the rapid changes planned in Babysitterdirectory.com.au in the coming months.
“Our next step is to bring on SMS alert facility as we see this as an important function for both parents and babysitters and nannies especially for short notice and casual positions. There is lots happening on the site in the coming months,” says Ms Ann Nolan “its all about responding to opportunities and providing our members and visitors with the best possible experience”.
