5. No typos in your profile: Your profile is your resume on Babysitterdirectory. Before okaying your profile, make sure there are no typos or grammatical errors.

6. Nanny sharing: If you are interested in "nanny share" arrangements state this in the FIRST sentence of the section "Brief statement about yourself", that way parents can see immediately your interest.

7. Casual and short notice positions: If you are interested in casual and short notice positions please ensure that you check your email regularily during the day. For these positions in particular parents need to be able to contact you as soon as possible.

8. Check your email: you are advised to check your email regularly otherwise you risk missing out on opportunities as parents cannot contact you.
