means the site DOES NOT check babysitters or nanny's references, qualifications or
certifications. Parents are advised that if they want to contact a babysitter or nanny who is

childcare agency in their local area ( check the Yellow Pages )

About the company
Babysitterdirectory was founded by a couple in Melbourne, Australia. While living in Queensland in 2006/07 for one year with their two young children, far away from family and friends and their usual babysitters, they found no online services that allowed them to freely (without paying a fee) and easily locate and contact babysitters directly. Hence Babysitterdirectory was formed.
About the founders
Ann Nolan - Irish born and Melbourne based until recently Ann was the National eBusiness & Online Services Manager at a niche job site for the automotive industry where she was responsible for strategic direction, marketing, development and management of the company's online presence. With a background in writing for digital media and film, Ann is also an award winning short film maker. Now, with three young children under 5 years she is currently enjoying the flexability that a start up life is giving her to spend time with her family and kids.
Murray James - A retail designer, Murray works with a leading provider of integrated and creative strategic solutions in Corporate, Retail and Future Environments where he is responsible for co-ordination and management of staff resources and projects. Over the last 16 years he has worked in Australia, Scotland and London with some of the country's major retailers.
